Welcome to the Trinity Sportsman Website...
My name is Dennis Pawlowski, the founder of Trinity Special Sportsman Ministries. TSSM is committed to sharing the message of Jesus Christ through quality outdoor experiences. We were founded as a non-profit organization in 2005. Our vision is to have a place to take kids to - a camp like setting - with the purpose of sharing Christ with them. We had no land and no money to pursue this calling; however, God is good and over the last five (5) years He has paid for my education, providing me with a degree in Natural Resource Conservation from UF. This degree, along with short courses from the Quality Deer Management Association (Deer Steward 1&2), would allow me to manage the land the Lord would eventually provide.
In the past three years, we have had youth archery clinics using the same archery equipment the National Archery in the Schools Program uses. In 2009, we exposed approximately 250 youth to archery in our summer programs. This past summer, we obtained a hunting lease in Polk City to host our hunts. This is an 1800 acre lease that is located between Tampa and Orlando. TSSM is close to hosting our first hunts by late October.
A day on the Flats...

This past weekend was one of those days that you had to be on the water. Some people go fishing when they want to but I go when the fish want to. Given that it was a new moon, low wind, perfect temps and well timed feed windows it was very clear that the fish would be eating. I partnered up with Robert Showalter and his daughter Emma and Wife Ashley to fish some flats off of Anna Maria.
Anna Maria is one of those spots that is fun to visit but even better to fish. It doesn't seem to get a lot of pressure and if you scout the area you are sure to find some spots that will produce. Trout, Reds and Snook are in their favorite hangouts around the Island this time of year. We targeted mostly trout and found them anxious to bite and were pleased that the majority of fish were +20".
If you have never witnessed God's Glory then spend a morning on a grass flat watching the sun rise over the water while fishing with good friends.
Last Minute Gobbler...

This Saturday it all came together for Jacob Garrison as he patiently waited for a shooter Tom to come strutting in. On his early morning hunt guided by Maurice Campbell the two were able to seal the deal with some spot on calling by Maurice. It was the end of the season for spring turkey and Jacob was anxious to get his bird. By 8:30 am a large Gobbler was on the ground and smiles were on the faces of the Trinity Sportsman team as Jacob and guide Maurice sized the bird up. Sporting a 9.5 inch beard and inch and a quarter spurs this 21 pound bird was a definite trophy for the young Mr. Garrison.
Jacob has been part of the Young Hunter Mentor program through Trinity Sportsman over the last 6 months and has surely earned the title of hunter as he has stalked numerous hogs and turkeys while also successfully harvesting his first whitetail deer this past season along side of Trinity Sportsman Guide Chris Moore.
Youth Outdoor Experience

Children of all ages and their families are attended the second annual Florida Youth Outdoor Experience on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Ocala Conservation Center in the Ocala National Forest.
The event was free and included a chance to try shooting a shotgun, rifle and bow and arrow, as well as fishing, canoeing, kayaking and more – all with expert instruction. The United Waterfowlers - Florida, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) are partnering to present this hands-on program.
Trinity Sportsman Ministry was invited to the Florida Youth Outdoor Experience. They were in charge of instruction and safety of the events archery range. Trinity host Youth Archery classes and will be holding its first Bow Hunter Education Series. Contact them on class availability and dates.
